Chinny is not feeling well. :-( His eyes are crusty and he is lathargic, and he doesn't want his raisins. He is going to the vet in a little bit, and I will post the outcome. Does anyone out there know about those symptoms? Chinny has been using a new brand of dust bath, and the last time his cage was cleaned he got cedar chips instead of pine bedding. But those have been the only differences to his environment.

Wish Chinny good luck at the Vet!

Worldwide Chinchilla Vet Listings:

I have contacted support for the web host provider, and they "believe" it is fixed. We shall see!

I know I have been remiss in updating this blog, but rest assured, Chinny is doing well, and is quite happy!

He has stopped chewing as much. I wonder if that is because he is getting older? Does anyone know?

Happy 4th of July everyone!

Chins and Other Animals

I recently visited someone who has 6 cats and 2 dogs, and occassionally a neighbor dog also over to visit. All the animals seem to get along. Well, the dogs play, and the cats put up with it, and tease each other. I've seen videos on Youtube with chinchillas running all over a lazy dog, and things like that, and it got me wondering whether it is common to have chins interact with other animals? Dogs, cats(?), or other rodents? Does anyone know? If so, plaese post a reply!

They do require a small invesetment, but the capital gains are worth it. Chinny sat on my shoulder and peered on in curiosity as I worked on tax forms in a marathon session. Thank the software indistry for tax software and electronic filing!

Actually, after less play time due to spring break Chinny has been eager to jump out if his hutch at every opportunity.
